What is Acupuncture?
Acupuncture is one of the many modalities within the scope of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) which has been practiced for thousands of years.
Acupuncture involves the placement of extremely fine, sterile needles into specific 'acupoints' along the acupuncture channels of the body. When there is blockages or imbalances within these channels, symptoms or disease occurs within the body. Inserting acupuncture needles into specific points stimulate the free flow within these channels, promoting the release of the body’s own natural pain killers, anti-inflammatories, immune system enhancers and hormones associated with tissue healing and disease resolution. Acupuncture restores blood flow and improves circulation while releasing positive endorphins allowing the body to get into a state of deep relaxation.
Through acupuncture and other Traditional Chinese Medicine modalities such as cupping, moxa, guasha, lifestyle + nutritional guidance, I aim not only to provide symptom relief but to address the root cause of illness in order to restore harmony + balance of overall health.

CUPPING
New to Chinese Medicine or a little nervous about needles?
Cupping is a great introduction for relief from pain, injuries, stress, detox + immunity support!
Cupping is a technique that uses small glass or silicone cups to create a suction on the skin. The suction and negative pressure provided by cupping can loosen muscles, encourage blood flow, detoxify and sedate the nervous system.
Think of it as a reversed deep-tissue massage, with the ability to affect 4 inches of tissue below the surface of the skin!
